The Struggle is Real!

I was scrolling through Instagram one beautiful afternoon, when I stumbled upon what seemed like the perfect solution to my homeschooling chaos – laminating worksheets! No more huge piles of paper cluttering up the house? Sign me up! So, with a few clicks, I added the pen+gear laminator to my Walmart pickup order and eagerly awaited its arrival.

Fast forward to an hour after opening the box, and there I was, still trying to figure out why on earth my laminator wasn't working. I mean, how hard could it be, right? Flip the top panel, feed the paper in, press a button, and voila – laminated perfection! Or so I thought.

Why wouldn't the darn thing work? Was it broken? Did I get a defective one? Or was I just lamination-challenged? Back to the internet to find a solution, I guess!

Undeterred, I decided to troubleshoot like a pro. Was it plugged in? Check. Was the outlet working? Check. Was I doing everything right? Well, maybe... kinda... sorta?

After an eternity of button pressing, paper feeding, and a few choice words muttered under my breath, I finally got it – success! But the solution was so simple, it almost felt embarrassing.

You need the top panel to actually lay flat! Not just up – that's how to feed the paper properly! Just push it harder to the back, it won’t break!

I may sound a bit silly typing this now, but I know a post like this would've helped me when I was struggling. So here you go!

I also have a youtube video on how to use it!

Thanks for reading!
